ATTHelp The cache is not - nor was it ever part of the problem and even with the Wifi calling disabled as suggested - it still will not download photos with a wifi connection established.

Any help is appreciated. This solution did not work for me. As soon as I turn off wifi, the photos come through. Really a pain in the rear! I read on another thread that turning 'wifi calling' off will allow the pictures in a text to download normally while you are on wifi. I tried this and it worked. Obviously, the wifi calling should not make a difference, but apparently it does.
Would be great if someone from ATT would respond to this issue. I am going to call them to see what they say. I'm guessing ATTHelp can't really, or does not want to help. Just got off a Chat with ATT. They said that this issue with wifi calling turned on and stopping pictures from dowloading is a bug with the newer models of the Galaxy phones.
Unfortunately, they are wrong. I don't use wifi calling and the issue still exists for me. Just having regular wifi on seems to cause the issue. Agreed, and ATTHelp isn't offering any resolution! Hope so. Been an issue for me over a year. I have no cell service where I live, only wifi calling. Used to have a microcell but they discontinued that. I also get some texts along with photos when I hit a cell tower that never came through while on wifi calling..
The problem isn't that the mobile data is off, it's that the images are not downloading when on WIFI. How can you mark an issue resolved when you haven't even followed up with the user to find out if indeed it has been resolved? My guess is NO - the problem I posted wasn't read or comprehended.
ATTHelp just wanted to put anything out there in an attempt to appear responsive. Whether the information actually works is irrelevant!

It did ask to wait for Wifi as displayed, but clearly that did not work and I have no setting to control it that I can find. I currently have One UI 2.
